Building voice AI that feels operational
Konci exists to make phone automation more useful, more trustworthy, and more connected to how real teams already work.
We build for the moment voice AI actually gets used
Many voice products make a strong first impression and then weaken the moment a real caller interrupts, asks for business-specific context, or expects something to happen in another system. Konci is built around the opposite idea: the useful part starts after the voice already sounds good.
So we built Konci around the full workflow — answering inbound calls, booking appointments, qualifying leads, routing to the right person, collecting payments, and syncing every outcome back into the systems the team already uses. The voice is the interface. The connected workflow is the product.
What shapes the way we build
Core beliefs
Customer usefulness over demo flashA voice system is only valuable if it holds up after the first impressive call. We care more about useful workflows than theatrical demos.
Bias toward clear systemsRouting, scheduling, follow-up, CRM updates, and trust review all need to fit together. We try to build systems, not isolated features.
Calm executionWe move deliberately. Shipping something that actually holds up in production matters more than shipping something that looks good in a demo.
Reliability is not optionalA missed call, a broken integration, or a failed handoff has real consequences for the businesses that depend on us. We treat dependability as a core product requirement.
The product gets better when the operating model is clear
Our approach
Start with the workflowWe begin with the operational problem: missed inbound calls, scheduling friction, broken routing, weak lead handling, or manual cleanup after the call.
Design for the operatorA system has to make sense not only to the caller, but to the person reviewing transcripts, changing flows, and measuring outcomes afterward.
Ship the control layer tooThe best voice experience still needs transcripts, outcomes, integrations, trust materials, and review workflows to work in production.
Why it matters
When voice AI is connected to the right systems and built around real workflows, it stops being a novelty and starts being infrastructure. That is what we are building toward — software that teams can actually run their business on.

The team creating the future of AI telephony

Founder & CEO
Shaun Sanders
Shaun is a nationally recognized commercialization strategist and global speaker on venture capital and deep tech investment. Over two decades, he has helped hundreds of organizations—from garage-stage startups to enterprise operators—deploy technology that streamlines workflows and scales operations, serving in roles spanning legal counsel, COO, brand strategist, and cybersecurity lead. Shaun is an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at USC Gould School of Law and previously led one of the nation's highest-performing Small Business Development Center (SBDC)-funded startup accelerators, where his work with hundreds of small business owners shaped a deep conviction that small businesses are the engine of our local economies and deserve the same caliber of technology that enterprise operators take for granted. At Konci, he channels that operator-and-advisor perspective into building voice AI that serves real business workflows, turning every inbound call into an opportunity for the small businesses that power our communities.
Founder & CTO
Cody Kociemba
Cody brings over two decades of voice-over-IP expertise to Konci, including founding his own IP telephony company — giving the platform a depth of call infrastructure knowledge that goes well beyond surface-level AI integration. He is also a recognized cybersecurity researcher and reverse engineer whose independent work has been covered by 404 Media, The Verge, and PCMag. At Konci, he leads technical architecture and implementation, shaping the systems behind call handling, workflow logic, integrations, and the control layer that makes the platform dependable in production.
